The beginning of the match was rather shaky, but after a few minutes Wisła seemed to be heading to an easy victory. When pressed by the White Star, Ruch Chorzów began to lose confidence. A goal for Wisła was only a matter of time. The first goal was scored in the 20th minute. After being fouled, Małecki awarded a free kick. He lifted the ball into the box to Arkadiusz Głowacki in the penalty area, who headed the ball straight into the back of the net. Just after 4 minutes, the White Star scored another goal and the match was basically over. The ball went from Kirm to Małecki, who passed the ball to Paweł Brożek. The attacker immediately forwarded the ball to Łobodziński, who scored the second goal for Wisła with a low shot.

In 49th minute, Ruch Chorzów surprised the players from Kraków. Sobiech took the ball from Pawełka, who was intending to kick it out from the penalty area, and put it in the back of the net.  After consultations with the linesman, the referee decided to disallow the goal.
