The goal of the players’ visit at the medical facility was to surprise Jaś, who was involved in an accident, while on his way to the Wisła match against Legia Warsaw. On the way to the game, young fan was hit by a car, suffering a very serious head injury as a result. The injury was so dangerous, that for three weeks the eleven year old remained in a coma. The doctors gave Jaś Gwiazda, for that is the young hero’s name, virtually no chance of a normal life.

The boy’s mother, Mrs. Maria, says the fact that Jaś recovered from the coma and is slowly regaining his strength can only be described as a miracle. Her son was, after all, in a very bad state.

The boy’s first question to the visitors concerned the outcome of the match.  The one against Legia, to which he was headed! It was a moving moment, the players presented the sick boy with an original shirt signed by all players of the Kraków team, with the following dedication: Dla Jasia Gwiazdy, od Białej Gwiazdy! (For Jaś the Star, from the White Star!) They wished him a quick return to health and to the stands at Reymonta.

Leaving the hospital, the players were happy that they were able to bring joy, not just to Jaś, but also to the other children at the hospital. They loved to see smiles on the faces of young fans.
