From the beginning, Wisła controlled the game trying to get through the rivals’ defence. The first chance for a goal came after a free kick executed by Rafał Pietrzak but the ball hit one of Miedź players. As an answer, the rival made an attempt to equalize but Michał Buchalik saved his team. Wisła took the lead just before the half-time whistle. The ball headed by Marcin Wasilewski, after the corner, bounced off the goalkeeper and landed in front of Ondrášek that had no probems with putting the ball into the net.  

Surprisng second half

The second part started even better as Maciej Stolarczyk team scored another goal just after the second half opening whistle. It was a textbook case: a counter initiated by Patryk Małecki and Jesús Imaz. The Spaniard passed the ball to Małecki and then, Kort put the ball into the net. Three minutes later, Wisła was close to extend the lead but this time, the ball sent by Ondrášek only hit the goal post.

In the minutes 68th, Marquitos firmly made the penalty kick after Maciej Sadlok’s fault. Then, the pace calmed down a bit until the last ten minutes of the game, when Rafał Boguski fell down in the penalty area. However, this time, the referee didn’t decide to blow the whistle. The White Star had to defend till the end but thanks to Buchalik’s efforts, who became one of the heroes of the match stopping a kick from 5 meters, could celebrate the victory.
