Wisła Kraków dominated the entire match. The statistics were devastating for GKS Bełchatów. During the entire match the team lead by coach Kiereś managed 8 shots with only 2 on target. The team from Kraków had 25 shots, 11 of which were classified as on target. After only two shots Łukasz Sapela had to take the ball out of the net.

Despite such a huge advantage, the champions of Poland have reason to feel dissatisfied after their match against GKS. Once again their play was ineffective. With GKS performing so poorly the team from Kraków should have taken the lead already from the first half. Wisła, however, was unable to capitalise on their lead. Finally in the 49th minute Dudu Biton put the ball in the back of Bełchatów's net. Biton received a pass from Andraž Kirm on the 16th metre, turned around and shot straight at the upper corner of the goal, right past Sapela. Ten minutes later Radosław Sobolewski made a through pass to Biton, who outran the last defender and sent a low ball past the goalkeeper, raising the score to 2:0.

The team from Bełchatów did not pose any danger to the goalkeeper of Wisła Kraków. The visitors attempted a few shots, but were either blocked by Wisła defenders or their shots were too weak to take Sergei Pareiko by surprise.
