The home team dominated the first half of the game against Wisła, launching attacks from the very first minute. In the 27th minute, Podgórski shot from a free kick but hit the crossbar. However, in the 44th minute, Podgórski finally found a way to defeat Wisła's goalkeeper. Wojciech Kędziora could not dribble past Michał Czekaj, so he passed to Podgórski who shot from 16 metres. Pareiko was unable to stop the strong shot and Piast took the lead.

After halftime, the home team played well in defence and waited for another chance to attack. This came in the 50th minute, when Jurado ran into Wisła's penalty box. His shot, however, hit the side net. A minute later, Klepczyński hit the crossbar. Finally, in the 72nd minute, after Jurado's pass from the end line, Kędziora managed to defeat Wisła's goalkeeper from several metres. In added time, the home team had yet another chance to raise the score, but after Podgórski's free kick the ball hit the corner of the goal.
