Wisła Kraków will not remember fondly its 100th match in European cups. The White Star lost the rematch against Fulham 1:4. The consolation goal was scored by Andraž Kirm.

The match at Craven Cottage started off in a very fast pace. Already within the first 10 minutes the 20,000 spectators were treated to two goals. In the 5th minute Pareiko was defeated by Duff, while four minutes later Garguła passed to Kirm who shot at Schwarzer's goal, putting the ball in the back of the net after a ricochet.

After an exciting beginning the game lost some momentum, however Fulham maintained its advantage throughout. Coach Martin Jol's players proved their superiority in the 30th minute after Andy Johnson's amazing volley goal.

The White Star began the second half with more vigour. Within several minutes from the whistle, the visitors had already created two promising goalscoring opportunities but Fulham's responses were fatal. In the 57th minute the home team took a superb corner kick and Andy Johnson scored his second goal. In the 79th minute Steve Sidwell shot from a header after yet another corner kick. Pareiko managed to make a save but was powerless to Sidwell's follow-up.

Wisła, despite great support from loyal fans throughout the match, returned from London defeated. In the second group match K Twente defeated Odense 3:2. Thanks to this outcome the White Star still has a glimmer of hope for advancing from the group stage.
