Carrillo: My team wants to win

The Kolporter Arena is another difficult stadium where Wisła managed to achieve a victory after a couple of years. They won 3-0 against Korona Kielce and extended their winning streak. In consequence, Wisła Kraków move up to sixth place.

‘I am glad that we got a good score. I need to congratulate our rival because they made our task difficult. I would also like thank my team. We are used to being criticised for presenting not enough offensive way of playing or not scoring many goals. Today we have showed that we are an organised team that can read the game and want to win’ – started the Spaniard. ‘I would also like to thank the coaching staff for the work they do and our fans for their support here, in Kielce. It's a nice feeling to be able to repay them with a victory. Now it is time to cool down and prepare for the next game on Wednesday’ – added the coach Carrillo.

The Wisła’s coach admitted in the first part they didn’t avoid mistakes. ‘In the first half, we missed possession. If we had prepared our counter attacks with more caution, they would have been more effective. Now we have two days to improve the aspects that need to be improved’ – suggested the coach.

Hot-shot striker’s comeback

After four games without a goal, Carlitos had a breakout game and made the rival’s goalkeeper surrender twice. ‘I am satisfied with his work. It’s true that in the last four games he hadn’t score but it all has to be analysed in a wider context. Against Jagiellonia he contributed to the goal of Arsenić. Surely, he has what’s needed to be a striker, for example, he is dangerous in one-to-one situations. There is no need to put more pressure on him because it’s normal for all players to have good and bad streaks’ – concluded Joan Carrillo.
