Both sides were determined to fight till the final whistle but the one that turned out ot be more effective was Wisła and thereby it is the White Star players that are going to celebrate the victory. ‘It was an intense game because there were two valuable teams that competed today. We stood against a team with big potential and that can be particularly dangerous playing on the wings. In my opinion, the first half was quite good, though we couldn’t finish the actions. In the second part, we retreated and there was also that penalty issue. However, in the end we were the team that won’ – the coach said.

The White Star coach praised his players. ‘I would like to thank my players because they earned respect and they dashed doubts that sometimes arise around footballers. I always have faith in my team. Both sides tried to win and did their best to achieve a victory. My players do their best both in training and during matches. We should also say a big thank you to the fans that came to Białystok. We hadn’t managed to repay them for their support in the match against Legia but I hope we did it today. I am proud of my players’ – concluded the Spanish coach, Joan Carrillo.
