Bogdana Basałaj used to be the President of Wisła Kraków in the years 2000 – 2004. At the beginning of 2000, he was elected Deputy President responsible for marketing, and in late 2004 - Deputy President responsible for organizational and financial matters.

“I honestly admit that being the President of Wisła Kraków is a matter of great personal pride, but also a huge challenge. Wisła Kraków prides itself on its long tradition, yet it each and every president of the management board, its coach, and each member of the staff has to come up to high expectations. The stadium can help Wisła develop its potential, not only in terms of revenues, but also as a place for its fans who will be given the opportunity to cheer their team to victory in comfortable conditions. Football fans are all a part of the club and must be provided with the conditions prevailing everywhere around – in shopping centres, cinemas, etc.” – Bogdan Basałaj announced at a press conference.

The newly-appointed President has to face many challenges, including the establishment of a new training centre, the Wisła Kraków Football Academy, or the football scouting network. The new President and the Management Board are now sharing the top priority of developing effective marketing strategies for Wisła Kraków.
