A point in Bełchatów

After a hectic game, the team from Kraków had to split points with GKS Bełchatów in the 16th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa. Manager Kulawik's team was forced to finish the game without Arkadiusz Głowacki who got a red card.

For six years, the White Star has not been able to earn six points in Bełchatów. Even in the seasons when it won championship titles, Wisła could only steal one point from GKS. The game against the last team in the league table was not easy for Wisła. There were only a few perfect scoring chances.
The home team, who is in dire straits and cannot afford even a single loss for fear of degradation to the lower league, did not give ground in the game against Wisła. Although they too were not able to create perfect scoring chances, Sergei Pareiko had to make a couple of saves after shots by Bartosiak or Wacławczyk.

Wisła's position became even worse in the 79th minute. Arkadiusz Głowacki got a red card for tackling Traore, and Wisła's lineup was weakened. GKS saw this as an opportunity to not only draw, but even win the game. The home team went on the offence and Pareiko's reflexes were put to the test. In the final play of the game, after a cross in by Jovanović, Sobolewski could have changed the score but instead headed the ball straight into the hands of Zubas.
