A Dutch lesson

Despite the fact that Wisła began the match against FC Twente with a lead taken in the 9th minute, the away game in Enschede was a tough lesson to learn. The match ended up with a 1-4 defeat for Wisła.

Wisła managed to conclude their second action of the game with a goal. In the 9th minute, Dudu Biton shook off a defender and having a great deal of free space decided to shoot from over 20 meters. The attempt turned into a goal. After 10 minutes, the White Star had another opportunity to increase their lead , but Kirm, passing Mihaylov, ran too far towards the goal line to shoot. He passed the ball to Nunez, who gave it away to Biton. None of them, however, was capable of delivering a shot.

These opportunities for Wisła do not change the fact that it was Twente that was the attacking side. Eventually, the home team managed to score the equalizer. After a free kick, de Jong put the ball into the net with a header. In the extra time of the first half, a duo of Ola John and Janko finally managed to conclude their action with a goal. Ola John passed the ball from the left side, while Janko jumped out from behind Chavez and sent the ball into the net.

In the second half of the match, two more goals were scored. In the 57th minute, the never-failing Janko put the ball into the far corner after a long pass and a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. The fourth goal was scored by Janssen who delivered a powerful shot from behind the penalty area.
