Wisła on the way to the USA

Wisła Kraków's players left for the United States at noon. A few players were absent from the White Star’s team, among them the injured Marcin Baszczyński.

The team is expected to arrive in Chicago at 15:00 local time. The team will stay in the USA until Thursday, May 22nd. That day they will fly to Toronto, where on Saturday they will play a friendly match against the Brazil U-20 national team. The team is set to return to Poland on Sunday, May 25th.

Several players did not travel with the team to the USA. Adam Kokoszka, Dariusz Dudka, Radosław Matusiak and Wojciech Łobodziński are to begin training for the EURO 2008 tournament on Monday. Krzysztof Mączyński stayed behind in Poland and is set to play in the Sunday match of the Young Ekstraklasa. Moreover, Marcin Baszczyński, Dudu, and Mauro Cantoro also did not travel with the team. Cantoro is expected to join the team on Monday, as his son is having his first communion a day earlier.
