Cracovia prevailed in the first half, Wisła dominated the second half. The 176th derby of Krakow ended in a well-deserved draw, although both coaches declared at a press conference after the match that both teams are dissatisfied with the result.

When the match kicked off, the White Star players were drowsy and slow-moving. The White Star, according to Marcin Baszczyński, was to keep pressing the opponent, nevertheless all players misses a fighting spirit. For the first ten minutes the game concentrated in the midfield, and the White Star received their first warning in the 11th minute, when Szeliga raced ahead on the right side and made a pass into the penalty area. Fortunately, no Cracovia player took the ball. The Wisła defenders were just a shadow of their former selves in the match against Barcelona. After 35 minutes, both stoppers – Baszczyński and Cleber – ended up with yellow cards.

A penalty kick was awarded after Cleber fouled Dudzic entering the penalty area. Pawlusiński scored the goal. When Baszczyński resorted to fouling, the Cracovia justly claimed that the referee should have applied the advantage clause. 3 Cracovia players were heading towards the goal followed by only 2 players of Wisła. Just a few minutes later there was commotion in the penalty area of the White Star. Wisła failed to kick the ball out, and Cracovia failed to kick the ball in the goal.

The White Star missed three opportunities to score, however, each time the Cracovia goalkeeper defended the shots. It all changed in the second half: Cabaj committed two mistakes in the first interventions, and Wisła started pressing the opponent with its two forwarders. Unfortunately, the White Star failed to take advantage of the goalkeeper mistakes, and it was Zieńczuk took the ball missed by Radwański in the 67th minute and kicked it into the penalty area. The cross was met by Rafał Boguski at the near cross and  Cabaj was defeated. Wisła still failed to get its shots on target. Dawidowski, Zieńczuk and Paweł Brożek had a chance to score but missed.
