Skorża voted third best coach in Małopolska

The results of Gazeta Krakowska's XXVIth Poll for the Five Best Coaches in Małopolska for the year 2007 were announced on Monday. Maciej Skorża - the White Star's coach, took third place. He has been coaching Wisła since June 13th 2007 and has already managed to lead the team to a Polish Championship title.

The ceremony took place at the CK Browar restaurant, and the awards were handed out by the President of Polskapresse Publishing – Bernadetta Podlińska. The readers of Gazeta Krakowska voted for the best coach in the region.

Robert Radwański – the father of tennis players Agnieszka and Urszula Radwańska – won the poll. It was under his guidance that Agnieszka Radwańska became the highest ranked Polish tennis player in history according to the WTA ranking (14th place). Agnieszka is currently ranked 15th, while Urszula is 196th. Andzej Kiełbusiewicz – Unia Tarnów’s swimming coach – received a special award for his educational work with youth.

The results of the poll:
1. Robert Radwański (tennis) – 3834 pts.
2. Wiktor Pysz (ice hockey, Podhale Nowy Targ) – 2433 pts.
3. Maciej Skorża (football, Wisła Kraków) – 2019 pts.
4. Zbigniew Ryczek (fencing, AZS AWF Kraków) – 1956 pts.
5. Rudolf Rohaček (ice hockey, Comarch Cracovia) – 1752 pts.
