Brożek leads Wisła to victory

Wisła Kraków won 1:0 over Polonia Bytom in the first round of the Extraklasa league matches. The game-winning goal in the 62nd minute was scored by Paweł Brożek.

The White Star was performing without a few key players in the first half. Wisła had several opportunities to score a goal, however, neither Paweł Brożek, nor Marek Zieńczuk managed to defeat a well-performing Peskovic. Polonia Bytom players missed a few chances to defeat Wisła, most notably Podstawka with a one-against-one situation with Pawełek, with both his  shots stopped by Pawełek.

In the second half, Skorża introduced Łobodziński and Boguski, and Wisła joined forces and prevailed over Polonia. Just 2 minutes after the break Junior Diaz failed to take advantage of his best opportunity and he just headed the ball to his colleagues. Finally, the White Star succeeded. In the 62. minute Rafał Boguski passed the ball to Paweł Brożek from the left side, who then scored his first goal this season with an impressive shot with his head.

Wisła controlled the game until the final whistle. The result remained unchanged and Wisła won the first 3 points this season.
