Wisła Kraków extended their contract with the team's captain, Arkadiusz Głowacki, for another 4 years. The new contract will enter into effect on January 1st 2009.

The contract’s extension was announced during a specially called press conference in the presence of Arkadiusz Głowacki, president Marek Wilczek, sporting director Jacek Bednarz, as well as coach Maciej Skorża.

„The most important thing is that I will be able to calmly prepare myself for the most important matches. It took a while, but now it’s over. I’ll be able to focus on my training and matches. I want to validate the hopes of those who trusted me and wanted me to sign this contract” – said Arkadiusz Głowacki.

”You can go abroad, or you can spend your whole life in one club. I chose the second option, and I’m proud of it.” – added the White Star’s captain.
