Against Beitar in the CL Qualifications

The draw for the Champions League second qualifying round took place in the Swiss city of Nyon. Wisła Kraków is set to face Beitar Jerusalem! The first match will be played in Jerusalem on July 29/30, with the second leg being played in Kraków a week later.

„The coefficient that Beitar was seeded with is recommendation enough for me. A lot of progress has been made in Israel in recent years when it comes to football. I think this is one of the more difficult opponents we could have faced” – coach Skorża emphasized in his first comments following the draw.

„We don’t know the team. This is the first time I’ve heard of them. I found out that they are the Israeli champions, which means that they are definitely a strong team. Nonetheless, if we want to dream of the Champions League, we have to be able to play against and beat any team. We need to take a closer look at the team and see what they are capable of” – said Andrzej Niedzielan.

”After the draw I found out that this is going to be a tough team to beat. Łukasz Surma recently played in the region and said they play a difficult brand of football over there. Players are well prepared physically, run a lot, and on top of that they play technical football” – Marcin Baszczyński reminded himself.
